Dear Editor:
As the Mayor of Warner Robins, it is my honor to address you on a topic of tremendous importance—technology
and its evolving landscape, including the powerful advancements of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The City of
Warner Robins is a growing beacon in Middle Georgia and home to many culturally diverse families and
ethnicities. Known as the “International City,” Warner Robins proudly supports our military service members,
retirees, veterans, and their family members, which is a testament to our thriving diversity.
As we look toward the future, it is crucial to acknowledge the role technology plays in the continued prosperity
of our community. The benefits of technology are undeniable. From improving communication and enhancing
education to streamlining business operations and expanding access to critical services, technology is a
cornerstone of modern progress. Artificial Intelligence, in particular, presents us with unprecedented opportunities
to improve efficiency, creativity, and innovation across various sectors. Recently, the City of Warner Robins
invested in a digital twin city project and won an international Smart21 award for 2024 and 2025.
Of course, with great progress comes great responsibility. We must also address the challenges that accompany
technological growth. Issues such as data privacy, accessibility, and the potential impact of AI on the workforce
require thoughtful consideration and proactive solutions. As a city, we are committed to fostering an environment
where technological advancements can be integrated in ways that are inclusive, ethical, and beneficial to all.
The City of Warner Robins is dedicated to leveraging technology to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
As we continue to expand and innovate, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide equitable opportunities for
all our citizens to thrive. From developing smart city initiatives to supporting technology-driven education and
